The current migration of people to flee armed and extremely violent conflict to the European Union has made headlines and worried European public opinion, first, and some of its politicians, by dragging. For those who have followed this humanitarian tragedy through the media and social and informal networks (such as Reddit) it was impossible to remain indifferent to the dead child's photo on the beach that seems to be a peaceful sleep. First, and quite simply, because this child is dressed like a Westerner, in their costumes that Europeans recognize as anyone like their children, nephews, cousins or grandchildren. But, and more importantly, because the very existence of the image to document a situation that lasts for years comes cruel and abruptly, raising awareness and bringing this drama closer to our minds that, until now, we could only watch from afar.
It is frightening to watch how quickly the European values are thrown overboard due to the pressure of the refugee crisis in the European Union. The way to deal with the Increasing flow of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants coming from neighbouring countries in Europe will become, at a high rate, the ultimate test for the EU if no action is taken quickly.
It is guaranteed that human treatment hasn't been given to refugees. Crowded quarters, gangs of human traffickers, acts of xenophobia, inhuman camps in railway stations on the way to the Channel Tunnel or in the middle of Brussels: all this is a bitter reality and has nothing to with the so evoked Europe solidarity and fairness.
Even German Chancellor Angela Merkel does not seem to have a plan. In one hand, she says in interviews that the so-called EU Dublin Convention does not work anymore. On the other, it insists that Hungary, Greece and Italy comply with dysfunctional legislation. According to the Convention, the asylum seeker is the responsibility of the country which came in Europe.
So it can not continue. Germany, Austria and other countries receiving the most asylum seekers require a "fair" division of refugees by all 28 member countries of the European Union. Most of them, however, are not being affected by the current crisis and have no interest in therefore reform. While the applicants have destined Germany, Sweden and Austria, everything is peaceful, think Polish, Spanish, Irish, Finnish and many others. Solidarity? Nothing.
The current statutory system is dissolved due to pressure, and the European Union looks on idly. The government of Hungary tries to deal with the chaotic conditions erecting a fence on the border with Serbia and sending asylum seekers to Austria or Germany. Germany and Austria, in turn, are reinforced with a control stand. Vienna threat resort to financial consequences for EU members that do not show solidarity, as these have benefited the Austrian taxpayers.

Thus, conflicts between EU countries can erupt quickly and result in restrictions on the free movement called Schengen area, with border controls. If we can not rely on compliance with the rules by other EU countries, we need to protect their own borders - a logic that commits the European conquests.
For years, Athens has ceased to have decency in refugee policy: there is neither accommodation nor processes for asylum. Greece simply takes those whom they should be responsible for to the border up to the north and puts them in the Balkan route. From Serbia, these people return to the European Union by Hungary, despite having been on the US when went to Greece. Thus, it is possible to understand why Budapest does not intend to tolerate it. Italy acts moderately the same way. The UK attempts to isolate and fight with France for the protection of Eurotunnel and the port of Calais. There is a stigma in the middle of Europe.
No one on the continent was prepared for the expected rise in the number of refugees, nor Germany. For years, the accommodation capacity in the country has been reduced. The German government has few employees in public bodies responsible for granting or denying asylum.
In recent days, what has been heard in Brussels is rather vague. The European Commission points out that, in May, it was made a plan with ten points to be followed. The project, however, was not implemented by EU members. At the time, the commission decreed a state of emergency in Greece and Spain. The relocation of asylum seekers or recognized as war refugees from there to other countries in the European bloc has not occurred since then.
The News on the brazilian website Terra say that if the interior ministers of the European Union do not enter into agreement quickly on a vigorous reform of the Dublin Convention, common centers for asylum seekers and on the distribution of migrants, the EU will return to the era of the barriers, fences and walls. Besides the bad destination for refugees, this would put the European project in a state of emergency.
However, while growing this wave of humanity and solidarity, it is almost impossible, unfortunately, to not observe as the hypocrisy of realpolitik and the world of geo-strategic and political interests intersect to - aware of the opportunists and exploiters who collaborate with inhuman traffic of people and "selling" places in boats and trucks - offer an even more inhuman dimension to this tragedy.
In The Guardian newspapper: Britain should not take more Middle East refugees, says David Cameron. The British Prime Minister argued that "(...) increase the number of refugees who welcomes the UK is not the adequate answer to the immigration crisis that Europe is facing. I do not think we can give an answer simply welcoming more and more refugees," (...) Cameron outlined that the crisis should be solved with measures intended "to peace and stability in the Middle East". As if the EU had ever bothered to solve this problem that lasts and persists for decades. Britain should not take more Middle East refugees, says David Cameron

The truth is that, even in this regard, the EU countries agree to disagree, and contrary position, the current Chancellor of Germany arises, Angela Merkel, to say that her country would welcome more than 800,000 refugees . But is this a surprising gesture of solidarity from someone that the overwhelming majority of Europeans consider inhuman and responsible for the protection of the financial interests of Germany at the expense of people from other countries, such as Greece? I don’t think so. Angela Merkel seems to be driven by polls indicating that German people are mostly favorable to host these refugees.
Paulo Almeida in the portuguese Diário de Notícias newspaper (Diary of News) considers this as the new Nazi project saying that ''(...)"Europe" seems to, unfortunately, lose their historical memory very quickly''. Why wouldn’t Merkel take this opportunity to input a hand-cheap labor, almost slavery, which could certainly work the minimum prices in the German economy? Solidarity? Not seem.
